Faculty Of Civil Engineering And Organize The 2nd Study Day on: Technical Standards, Pathology and Repair of Constructions Thursday March 12, 2020

Call for papers
The University of Laghouat, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and the Department of Civil Engineering, organize jointly with the Research Laboratory in Civil Engineering (LRGC) and the Laboratory of Materials and Rehabilitation of Structures SREML) the 2nd Day Study on Technical Standards, Pathology and Repair of Constructions.
Presentation and objectives
The knowledge and mastery of the technical building standards by all those involved in the act of building (project owners; project managers; architects; control offices; companies) constitute a fundamental element in designing and building a structure which meets the requirements of safety and functionality and comfort. Furthermore, the construction materials used to make these buildings come from different sources, which requires a thorough knowledge of their physico-mechanical and chemical characteristics in order to use them rationally.
In addition, in the context of sustainable development, the pathology of buildings linked to the improper use of structures and defaults in design and construction faults also requires special intention on the part of those involved in the act of building in order to avoid disorders which may appear during the operation of these structures and whose repair can generate additional costs which sometimes exceed 50% of the overall cost of the structure.
Topic 1: Pathology and repair of constructions
Topic 2: Materials for repairing pathologies
