The ‘African Women in Tech and AI’ project has three specific objectives. Firstly, it aims to develop and strengthen the AI, technological innovation and leadership skills of 150 African women by 2025. At the same time, the project plans to incubate around thirty entrepreneurial projects initiated by the African women who have benefited from the training. Secondly, the project aims to develop AI-based technologies to solve problems endogenous to the African continent, in particular social, gender, environmental, agricultural, energy, education and health issues. Through the development of innovative solutions with a positive impact on local communities, this initiative contributes to achieving the sustainable development goals of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 and those of the African Union’s Agenda 2063. Finally, this project aims to create a pan-African network of women working in the field of AI and to encourage greater representation of African women within the technology and digital sectors.
In 2023-2024, the project contributed to the training of 114 women from 28 African countries and the incubation of 22 entrepreneurial projects led by 22 of these women.
We have been asked to select 03 applications from women and submit them by 22 March 2025 at the latest. We would therefore ask you to send us the applications so that we can make the selection.
