  • During the year 1986, and by virtue of executive decree n ° 86-165 dated August 05th, 1986, the Higher Normal School for Technical Education (ENSET) was created in the old Pole, to ensure the training of teachers for secondary and technical education, in technical domain and for a period of ten years .:

-Mechanical engineering

-Civil engineering

-Electrical engineering

 

  • In 1997, by Executive Decree n ° 97-157 of October 5th ,1997, the Ecole Normale Supérieure for Technical Education was converted into a University Center, in addition to continuing training in the three technical branches previously taught at (ENSET), the center benefited from new training in the three new diplomas (State Engineer, Bachelor’s Degree and applied university studies), then new fields were opened such as Exact Sciences, computer Science, Industrial Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Management, Arabic language and literature, psychology and speech therapy, and in law.

  • In 2001, in accordance with Executive Decree n ° 01-270 of September18th , 2001, the University Center was restructured to become a University and subsequently named in the name of the martyr Amar Telidji to include three faculties, namely :

-Faculty of Science and engineering sciences.

-Faculty of Economics and Management.

-Faculty of Law and Social Sciences.

In parallel with the restructuring that the university has undergone during this year, new specialties have been opened, namely :

– For the Faculty of Science and Engineering four new specialties (maintenance in Electrical Engineering, Water Resources, Agricultural Sciences, Architecture،

– For the Faculty of Law and social sciences (sociology, demography and English).

  • The beginning of the academic year of 2006-2007 coincides with the establishment of a new training system in the higher education sector in Algeria, in accordance with the policy aimed at the universalization of the LMD system, generating the opening of new domain and specialties in License LMD degree, in the domain of science and technology, material sciences, mathematics and computer science, in sports science and technology, economics and Management, French language and Social Sciences.

  • The beginning of the academic year of 2009-2010 additional specialties were opened, with the introduction of the Master’s degree in Training.

  • With the advent of the academic year of 2010-2011, in accordance with Executive Decree n ° 10-198 of 08-25-2010, the University underwent a new restructuring, which consisted in the re-division of two faculties according to the domain of training.

– The Faculty of Science and Engineering sciences has been divided into two: Faculty of Technology and Faculty of Science،

– The Faculty of Economics and Management has changed its name to Economics, Business and Management Sciences

-The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences is divided into three faculties and an institute according to the field of specialization and the increase in the number of students in humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, the Faculty of Letters and Languages and the Institute of physical education and sports activities.

Thus, the number of Faculties of the university becomes six (6) faculties and 1 institute, namely:

–Faculty of Technology

-Faculty of Science

-Faculty of Economics, Business and Management Sciences

-Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

-Faculty of Letters and languages

-Faculty of law and political science

-Institute of physical education and sports activities

  • With the start of the academic year of 2014-2015 the Faculty of Medicine was created in accordance with Executive Decree n ° 13-101 of 03-14-2013 to strengthen the higher education and scientific research sector in our wilaya with this great achievement, which opens up the prospects of training in Medical Sciences for the inhabitants of the region. Thus, the number of faculties of the university becomes seven (7) faculties and 1instituts.respectively :

-Faculty of technology

-Faculty of civil engineering and architecture

-Faculty of science

-Faculty of economic, commercial and Management Sciences

-Faculty of Social Sciences

-Faculty of Humanities, Islamic sciences and civilization

-Faculty of Letters and languages

-Faculty of law and political science

-Faculty of Medicine

-Institute of physical education and sports activities

  • The the academic year of 2017-2018 ,was marked by the opening of pole n ° 2, and for the reception of students from the Faculty of Technology ( ST Common department with the departments of Electrical Engineering and electronics). The infrastructures of Pole 2 have come to compensate for part of the deficit of educational places that the university has suffered in recent years, proportionally with the increase in the number of students.

  • During the the academic year of 2019-2020, the Pole n ° 2 infrastructure also welcomed students from the Institute of Physical Education and sports activities with necessary and especialy infrastructure, including Stadiums and a semi-Olympic swimming pool.

  • With the advent of the the academic year of 2022-2023, the University’s facilities have been strengthened by receiving the 5,000 new educational places at pole n ° 2 dedicated to students from the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture..
