The Head of department

The head of department exercises several tasks, the most important of which is to ensure the proper functioning and regularity of his services. It is the responsibility of the head of department to follow the pedagogical follow-up of the training programmes as well as the respect of the scheduled timetables. He is also responsible for conducting the examinations programmed according to the calendar fixed by the Deanery. He also takes care of deliberations. The head of department certifies provisional end-of-study certificates with the co-signature of the dean and the rector of the university, as well as the approval of student scorecards (les relevés de notes).

The vice head of department

The vice head of department assists the head of department in carrying out the educational tasks of the department. He fixes the timetables and ensures that they are respected. He also coordinates with the head of department and the heads of training programmes for the affectation of modules to teachers. The vice head of department directly supervises schooling service and the teaching and assessment service. He also ensures the regularity of master’s discussions process and their scheduling. 

The schooling service

The schooling service directly pursues all student enrolments and academic leave processes, as well as the university dropout students. It also studies student reintegration files. In addition to these tasks, the head of the schooling service is responsible for preparing student statistics, preparing lists of students for continuous assessment and the exams, as well as managing announcements regarding students’ administrative enrolments.

The teaching and assessment service

The teaching and assessment service is responsible for entering marks. He also oversees the direct monitoring of the Progres FVE platform, through which the PVs. of deliberation are prepared, and reports on all that could hinder the smooth running of the deliberation process. The teaching and assessment service monitors the entry of marks and prepares the students’ transcripts “relevés de notes”; deliberations, and finally the provisional end-of-study certificates.
