The faculty of Human Sciences, Islamic Sciences and Civilizations is a newborn faculty from the former faculty of Human and Social Sciences,it was created by Executive Decree No. 16-72 of 13 Jumada Al Awwal 1437
,February 22, 2016 modifying and supplementing Executive Decree No. 01-270 Dated 30 Jumada al-Thani 1422, September 18, 2001, which includes the creation of the University of Laghouat, as part of the new structure defined by the university.
The faculty operates under the LMD system in the humanities and social sciences and currently includes four departments:
The faculty aspires to open new specializations such as archeology, library science and documentation, it aspires also the organization of doctoral studies and to increase the number of scientific research laboratories
