The Departement of History

Pursuant to Resolution No. 278 of September 07, 2010, which includes the establishment of the component departments of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Laghouat, a specialization of historical and archeological studies was established within the Department of Humanities, to be transformed after that on 09/24/2013 based on Resolution 671 to a general history specialization , As it guarantees a training in specialization from the second year.

And after the creation of the faculty of Human Sciences, Islamic Sciences and Civilizations according to Executive Decree No. 16-72 of 13 Jumada al-Awwal 1437 corresponding to February 22, 2016 modified and supplemented by Executive Decree No. 01-270 of 30 Jumada al-Thani 1422 corresponding to September 18 of the year 2001, which included the creation of the University of Laghouat, became one of the departments of the college.

• 788 students distributed as follows:
• Bachelor of Arts: 264
• Master: 329
