The Department of Information and Communication Sciences

According to Resolution No. 514 of 04 September 2011 that includes the qualification of an open bachelor with the title of the academic year 2011/2012 at the University of Laghouat, a specialization in Information and Communication Sciences was established: Communication and public relations within the Department of Humanities, as it guarantees training in specialization starting from the second year.

And after the establishment of the faculty of Humanities, Islamic Sciences and Civilization according to Executive Decree No. 16-72 of 13 Jumada al-Awwal 1437 corresponding to February 22, 2016 amended and supplemented by Executive Decree No. 01-270 of 30 Jumada al-Thani 1422 corresponding to September 18 of the year 2001, which included the establishment of the University of Laghouat, the Information and Communication Department became one of the departments of the college.

The department includes: 10 permanent professors

1160 students distributed as follows:

 Bachelor of Arts: 738

 Master: 553

 PhD: 15 students with specialization in social communication.
