The Department of Spanish (DS) at the University of Ammar Telidji Laghouat (UATL)

 The pedagogical team offers quality training of Spanish as a Foreign Language in the Algerian South, at the University of Ammar Telidji, in Laghouat (Algeria), with specialization and cultural enrichment.

The DS is the fifth department at the national level, which is dedicated to the teaching of the Spanish language and culture. Being the first in the Algerian south, it  has been five years since its opening in 2016. Today, it has a total of 300 previous students from six regions: Laghouat, Djelfa, Ghardaia, Khenchla, Ms’ila, El Ouedi; and with a pedagogical team consisting of nine new associate lecturers, two Lecturers, seven full professors, and two non-permanent teachers. The Master’s Degree in Foreign Languages’​​Teaching was inaugurated for the first time in the current 2019-2020 course.
