Council of the faculty
The faculty council is an organ of the faculty established by Executive Decree No 03-279 of 24 Joumada Ethania 1424 corresponding to 23 August 2003 laying down the missions and the special rules of organization and operation of the university.
Composition of the faculty council
The faculty council includes:
the Dean of the Faculty, President,
the Chair of the Faculty’s Scientific Council,
the heads of departments,
the director(s) of research units and research laboratories, if applicable,
two representatives of teachers per department elected from among those with the highest grade,
one elected student representative per department,
two elected representatives of administrative, technical and service staff.
The vice-deans, the secretary general and the head of the faculty library attend the meetings with an advisory voice.
Opinions and recommendations of the faculty council :
The faculty council issues opinions and recommendations on:
the prospects for the development of the faculty,
the programming of the faculty’s training and research activities,
prospects for national and international scientific cooperation,
programming of continuing training, further training and retraining measures,
the faculty’s draft budget,
the faculty’s draft human resources management plan,
draft contracts and agreements for studies, expertise and services provided by the faculty,
the management of the faculty,
the faculty’s annual activity report.
The Council shall consider and propose any measures to improve the functioning of the Faculty and to promote the achievement of its objectives and shall give its opinion on any matter referred to it by the Dean.
