Post-graduation (Magister)

1- Postgraduate training

Training in the Magister, also called post-graduation training, generally lasts two years. In the first year, the student follows the theoretical and practical training, while the second year is dedicated to the completion of the graduation note. The Magister training aims to:

  1. Deepen scientific knowledge.
  2. Acquire principles and techniques of scientific research.
  3. Teaching methods of analysis and thinking, and creating a protocol compatible with research and/or experiments.
  4. Develop the student’s ability to demonstrate scientific thinking and conclusion, explain the results of events and facts, and write these results in an exploitable form.
  5. Sow the ability to estimate, rigor, and relativity in judging matters for the student.

Conditions for entry to the post-graduation training competition

Admission to the magister competition is for those with a graduation certificate or a corresponding certificate in the competition’s specializations. Magister competitions join every year as of september and announce all information about it in the national newspapers and the university’s website. The candidate has the right to participate in several competitions at the national level.

Note: The first students at the level of their batches in the graduation can join the training to obtain a master’s degree without a competition.

2- Doctoral schools

The Doctoral School is the integrated and continuing post-graduate training project for the doctoral degree. This training responds primarily to the objectives of implementing the training component scheme, and its course depends on inter-university cooperation on jointly defined goals in advance.

Organizing a doctoral school

The doctoral school is established and organized in one university that is qualified for training in the doctorate or between several universities on the basis of a partnership agreement, provided that each eligible university determines the patterns of participation in this training.

3- Registration and re-registration

Depositing the registration file or re-registration will be at the level of the concerned colleges. After the administrative review, the college sends the file to the concerned department for study by the department’s scientific committee (CSD), then to the college’s scientific council (CSF) with a copy From the minutes of the college’s scientific committee. After approval from the college’s scientific council, the student accepts as a registrant and extracts a certificate of registration or re-registration, according to the case.

Postponement of registration

The registration may be postponed for the second year at the request of the concerned person, justified by the framer, provided that the application is referred to the department’s scientific committee and the college’s scientific council. The file contains:

4- Modalities and procedures for discussion

At the end of the second year, the student who completed the magister’s note will deposit the discussion file

Discussion file

  1. A copy of the magister’s note.
  2. Discussion panel proposal by the framer (Download)
  3. Framed report (download).
  4. Identification of the topic: PNST Thesis Notice Registration Document.
  5. Certificate of registration and point detection for the first year.
  6. birth certificate.

The discussion file is deposited at the department level and studied by the department’s scientific committee and the college’s scientific committee for approval. The file is sent along with the minutes of the scientific council to the university rectorate in order to extract the decision of the formation of the discussion committee signed by the university president. The post-graduation department at the college sends copies of the memo to the members of the discussion in order to prepare the reports. Reports are sent within a maximum period of 30 days after the delivery of a master’s file and note to experts.

License file for discussion

If the reports of the members of the discussion are positive, the college sends the discussion file at least 10 days before the date of the discussion to the vice rectorate in order to extract the license for discussion. the file contains:

  1. The original evaluation reports of the discussion members.
  2. A request from the college including the date of the discussion.

Discussion

The discussion shall be public in front of the discussion committee on time and predetermined. The committee evaluates the content of the memo and appreciates the candidate’s oral presentation by asking questions. The discussion committee deliberates in a closed session, announces its decisions through its chairman and takes its decision by a majority of votes, and the chairman’s vote is weighted in case of equal votes. A master’s degree is awarded with reference to the branches and specialization as well as the note you obtain.

Submit the certificate

The post-graduation in the college sends the discussion file to the vice rectorate in order to obtain a certificate of success in the magister. The file consists of:

  1. Minutes of the discussion deliberations.
  2. A paper copy of the memo corrected according to the recommendations required by the discussion committee.
  3. An electronic copy of the memo (please respect the technical specifications for that).
  4. Re-read and debug card (download).
  5. The license of the university president for discussion.
  6. The original copies of the discussion reports of the members discussed.
  7. A copy of the memorandum has been received by the Central Library (download).
  8. Go card (download).
