Sociology and Demography
The Department of Sociology was established within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, which was founded at the beginning of the academic year 2010/2011 under (Executive Decree No. 10_198 of Ramadan 15, 1431 corresponding to August 25, 2010), within the new framework structure introduced by the reform of higher education. It is considered one of the largest departments affiliated to the college in terms of student and professor’s numbers. In general The Department of Sociology seeks to create competencies and frameworks that are able to respond to the requirements of social problems in various fields and domains.
