University student feeding
The University Services Directorate ensures the provision of catering services to resident students through restaurants built in the university residences. It also provides catering services to external (non-resident) students at the central restaurant established at “Belhadj Bouchaib” University.
Any resident or external student can benefit from a meal at the university restaurant for a symbolic ticket. In order for the student to benefit from this service, he must follow the following instructions:
External (non-resident) students:
Non-resident students benefit from lunch at the central restaurant located at Belhadj Bouchaib University during all school days (except weekends and official holidays).
Resident students:
Both university residences have an in-house restaurant for resident students, every day of the week throughout the academic year, by using facial recognition scanner technology or a unified card to obtain a ticket to benefit from the meal at the entrance to the restaurant.
Take advantage of the catering service
Students benefit from the catering service automatically without the need for registration steps, thanks to the multi-service electronic student card that they receive from the pedagogical services immediately upon registration, where they fill the symbolic price of the meal on the card through the WALLET electronic wallet system, which is available at the level of all university restaurants.

The student must approach the pedagogical services to receive the multi-service student card so that he can benefit from all university services provided digitally.

The student charges his balance using the multi-service card and chooses one of the values for charging: 5 DZD, 10 DZD, 20 DZD, 50 DZD, 100 DZD, 200 DZD, or 500 DZD, as 10 DZD is valid for eight meals, and this avoids the student standing in the charging queue for each meal.

When in the food queue, the student shows his card in order to get the meal. If he has a pre-charged balance, the system deducts the price of only one meal and saves the remaining balance with the message “Bon appetit”

There are some cases where a student cannot get a meal through the system:
- If he does not have a balance, the message “ Your balance is insufficient. Please charge your account ” will appear. The student must recharge his balance at the recharge window (formerly the ticket seller).
- If the student has already used a meal on the same day, each student is entitled to only one meal, and the message “ You have already used the meal ” may appear.
- If the card is invalid due to a technical fault or error, the student must approach the pedagogical services to solve the problem.
Health protection for resident student
1- Preventive medicine units:
Health prevention is of great importance in the directorate’s policy and this task is supervised by doctors and paramedical staff across the two university residences. The preventive medicine department in each university residence ensures:
Preventive Medicine Unit Objectives
- Ensuring continuous and ongoing monitoring of compliance with hygiene and health prevention conditions in the accommodation area, in rooms and in restaurants, by monitoring the entry of goods and food items intended for restaurants and their storage conditions, the conditions for preparing meals, and obligating restaurant employees to comply with hygiene conditions.
- Conducting continuous and regular examinations of resident students, providing first aid, and referring urgent cases to the relevant authorities.
- Supervising awareness-raising and health education activities in conjunction with international and national health days (raising awareness of communicable diseases and epidemics such as smoking, etc.) and vaccination campaigns (tetanus, diphtheria, etc.)
- Organizing lectures and seminars for students and workers on all topics related to health and hygiene.
2- Psychological support cell:
In addition to caring for the physical health of resident students, the University Services Directorate seeks to expand its interest in the psychological health of both students and employees, whether at the level of the Directorate or the university residences under its supervision, by establishing a psychological support cell.
In order to enhance the role of the preventive medicine units in the two university residences with experts in the psychological field for the benefit of the members of the Ain Temouchent University Services family, including students, workers and employees, the Directorate has allocated a psychological specialist for psychological accompaniment and guidance.
