Scientific Council of the Faculty
The faculty council is an organ of the faculty established by Executive Decree No 03-279 of 24 Joumada Ethania 1424 corresponding to 23 August 2003 laying down the missions and the special rules of organization and operation of the university. Composition du conseil scientifique de la faculté
In addition to the Dean of the Faculty, the Faculty’s Scientific Council includes the following members:
the vice-deans,
the heads of departments,
the chairs of departmental scientific committees, the director or directors of research units and/or research laboratories, where appropriate,
two elected representatives of teachers per department,
the head of the faculty library.
Opinions and recommendations of the faculty’s scientific council
The Faculty’s Scientific Council issues opinions and recommendations on:
the organisation and content of the lessons,
the organisation of research work,les propositions de programmes de recherche,
proposals for the creation or abolition of research departments and/or sectors and units and laboratories,
proposals for the opening, renewal and/or closure of post-graduation courses and the number of posts to be filled,
profiles and teacher needs.
It is also responsible for:
to approve post-graduation research topics and propose defense juries,
to propose the University Accreditation Boards,
to examine the reports on the faculty’s pedagogical and scientific activities, which are forwarded by the dean of the faculty, together with the advice and recommendations of the council, to the rector.
